The Prestfelde community came together at St Giles Church for our special Harvest Celebration and Eucharist, a lovely opportunity to pause, give thanks and celebrate the people and values that bring our community together.
The service was led by Reverend Aldous, with Mr Joplin providing musical accompaniment for the congregation and our school choir, who sang beautifully throughout. We were also very proud of the pupils who took part in the readings. They spoke with confidence and clarity, showing real courage in standing up in front of their peers.
The service gave us a chance to reflect on the many things we are grateful for, while also remembering the importance of kindness, generosity and looking out for others. We were particularly thankful to our families, who generously donated food for our Harvest collection. These donations will be given to Shrewsbury Food Bank, helping to support local people and families who need it most.
At Prestfelde, we believe that helping others and supporting our community are at the heart of being a Prestfeldian. Our Harvest celebration was a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when we come together and think about those around us.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and well done to all our pupils who played their part so beautifully.
