Courage is a habit, and it is built in small, repeated acts: putting your hand up for the audition, walking out for the first fixture, showing someone else how it is done. Our co-curricular programme exists to give every child those moments – broadening horizons, developing character and helping every pupil to flourish.
Sport and Outdoor Life
Three afternoons a week are dedicated to sport, supported by impressive facilities across our 30-acre site, including a gymnasium, netball and tennis courts, and an indoor swimming pool. Pupils compete in an extensive fixture programme and tournaments both locally and nationally.
Music
Music-making is part of everyday life at Prestfelde. Our purpose-built Music School overlooks the grounds and offers a bright acoustic performance space, practice rooms for our team of peripatetic music teachers, and an IT suite for music composition – supporting both instrumental development and creative exploration.
Drama and Performance
Pupils have the opportunity to perform in Prestfelde’s impressive 280-seat theatre, taking part in productions where they can act, sing, dance, provide orchestral accompaniment, or work backstage in production and stage management. Whatever role they choose, pupils are supported and nurtured to discover their confidence – and often a passion that stays with them.
Art and Creativity
Creativity is championed through dedicated specialist spaces including an Art Studio, alongside Design & Technology facilities, giving pupils the time, tools and encouragement to develop technique, imagination and personal style. For pupils with particular interest or aptitude, opportunities such as Scholarship Art support stretch and excellence.
Recognised for it
Prestfelde is one of only twelve schools nationally to be named as a Trinity Champion Centre 2026-27 for the Performing Arts – recognition of the quality and reach of what happens here every day.
Outcomes and Excellence
The strength of Prestfelde’s creative provision is reflected in outcomes: in the last five years, pupils have achieved 14 Art Scholarships, 8 Music Scholarships and 6 Drama Scholarships to their chosen senior schools.
Clubs and Enrichment
The majority of clubs run after school and are included in fees, with a wide range on offer across ages – including Music, Singing, Crafty Art, Comic Art, Arts & Crafts, LAMDA and Drama, alongside sport, outdoor and STEM options.

Beyond Prestfelde
100% of pupils progress to the senior school of their choice, supported by expert guidance and strong transition partnership, with the majority choosing to progress to Shrewsbury. Scholarships over the last five years demonstrate impressive breadth across academic, sport, art, music, drama and design technology. Prestfelde pupils leave with the confidence to embrace opportunities, the courage to face new challenges and the character to thrive at senior school and beyond.
