We were delighted to welcome the grandparents of our Reception children to Prestfelde for a very special afternoon tea. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to share a little glimpse of their school life with some of the most important people in their lives, while giving grandparents the chance to see where their grandchildren learn, play and spend their days.
The afternoon was filled with smiles with grandparents and thechildren enjoying a delicious afternoon tea together, before spending time chatting and playing with the toys and activities put out for the afternoon. For our Reception children, it was a lovely opportunity to show off their school and their teachers and to share some of the things that make their days at Prestfelde so special.
Prestfelde has been home to generations of families over the years, and it is always particularly special to welcome Old Prestfeldians back through the school gates in a new capacity – this time as grandparents. Seeing former pupils return to share in their grandchildren’s school experiences is a wonderful reminder of the lasting connection so many families have with Prestfelde.
Family is at the heart of our school community, and our grandparents are such an important part of the wider Prestfelde family. Bringing different generations together was a beautiful reflection of the strong relationships and community spirit that make our school so special.
It was lovely to see so many grandparents for this special afternoon, and a pleasure to welcome you back to Prestfelde.
