It was wonderful to welcome our new families to the Prestfelde community at a special breakfast event at Highfield House last week.
Hosted by our fantastic Friends of Prestfelde (FOPs), the morning provided a lovely opportunity for new parents to meet one another, catch up over coffee and begin getting to know some of the people who make our school community so special.
This year, we were delighted to welcome new children joining Prestfelde at every stage of school life – from our youngest pupils taking their first steps into Nursery at the age of three, right through to children joining us in the Senior years, up to the age of 13. For many families, this was their first opportunity to meet other parents and find out a little more about life beyond the classroom.
FOPs play an important part in bringing our school community together. They organise a variety of social events and activities throughout the year, providing opportunities for parents and families to meet, make new friends and enjoy time together outside the school day. They also help to support the school through fundraising and by contributing to special projects and experiences for our pupils.
All parents are very welcome to get involved, whether you have lots of time to offer or simply want to come along to an event and meet other families. There is no expectation to commit to everything – every bit of support and enthusiasm is appreciated.
A huge thank you to the FOPs Team for giving our new families such a warm and welcoming introduction to the school community.
