Prestfelde’s boarders got the new calendar of activities off to a fantastic start last Friday evening, with a sunset adventure on Haughmond Hill.
Led by our new Head of Boarding, Miss Edwards, alongside our new Graduate Boarding Assistant, Miss Freeman, and our fantastic team of Gap Students, the group set off into the Shropshire countryside for an evening of fresh air, adventure and plenty of fun. Mr Thavenot also joined the group, making it a wonderful opportunity for staff and pupils to spend time together outside the school setting.
As the sun began to set, the boarders made their way towards the summit, enjoying the beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. There was plenty of laughter along the way, with everyone embracing the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy an active start to the weekend.
The evening was a great success and provided the perfect introduction to what promises to be a packed and exciting programme of activities for Prestfelde’s boarders this year. From outdoor adventures and sporting activities to social events and opportunities to explore the local area, the boarding programme is designed to ensure there is always something for our pupils to look forward to.
Boarding is an important part of life at Prestfelde, giving children the opportunity to develop their independence, confidence and friendships in a supportive and caring environment. Our flexi-boarding option also provides families with the flexibility to make boarding work around their individual needs, whether children board regularly or simply enjoy the occasional night or weekend with friends.
It was wonderful to see our boarders enjoying themselves together and making the most of their first activity of the new programme. We are looking forward to seeing where their next adventure takes them!
